Inventory Stock Levels Not Updating

Why your stock count may not match what you expect and how to investigate and correct it.

Check the movement history

Open the product in Inventory and view the Stock Movements tab. Every change to stock — sales, transfers, adjustments, and work orders — is listed here with a timestamp, quantity, and source. Use this to trace exactly when and why the count changed.

POS sales deduct stock automatically

Every completed POS order deducts stock from the selling location. If you see unexpected drops, look for completed orders in POS that reference this product. Cancelled orders reverse the deduction.

Wrong location selected

Stock is tracked per location. If you are looking at the wrong location in Inventory, the count will not match what your staff see on the POS register. Use the location filter at the top of the Inventory page to check each location separately.

Manual stock adjustment

If stock is wrong due to theft, damage, or a counting error, you can make a manual adjustment directly on the product page. Enter the correct quantity and a reason note. The adjustment is recorded in the movement history for auditability.
