Tracking Business Expenses
Record expenses, manage vendors, and monitor spending trends to keep costs under control.
Adding an expense
Go to Expenses and click "Add expense." Enter the amount, date, category (e.g., Rent, Utilities, Supplies), vendor name, and an optional memo. The expense is recorded immediately and flows into your dashboard cash balance.
Vendors
Vendors are the suppliers or service providers you pay. You can create vendors in advance under the Vendors tab, or type a new vendor name directly when adding an expense. Tracking vendors lets you see total spend per supplier over time.
Expense categories
Categories help you understand where money goes. The Expenses dashboard shows a month-by-month trend and highlights the percentage change vs the previous period. If a single category exceeds 35% of total expenses, a risk alert fires on the dashboard.
Recurring expenses
For predictable expenses like rent or subscriptions, record them on the same date each month using the same category and vendor. This keeps your trend charts consistent and makes the AI insights more accurate.
